01 — Orders & shipping
Orders are prepared and sent within 1–3 business days. Anything placed before 12:00 PM EST on a business day starts the same day; orders after the cut-off, on weekends, or on US public holidays start the next business day. The moment yours leaves us, you'll get a shipping email with tracking.
Shipping is free on every order over $100. Under that, it's a flat $6.99, fully tracked.
Once your order's on its way, delivery within the US takes 7–10 business days. International orders take 10–14 business days, depending on where you are and how quickly local customs move.
We ship worldwide. Your shipping cost and delivery estimate are shown at checkout based on the destination.
As soon as your order ships, you'll get an email with a tracking number, and you can check progress any time on our Track Your Order page. If three business days pass and you've still not seen tracking, email support@tatejacob.com.
All the major cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover — plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. Everything runs through the encrypted checkout, and we never store your card details.
Any sales tax is worked out and shown at checkout before you confirm. On international orders, your own country may add import duties or taxes when the parcel arrives — those are set by local customs and are the customer's responsibility.
There's a short window before we start preparing your order — reach us at support@tatejacob.com quickly and we can usually cancel or amend it. After it's been packed or handed to the carrier, we can't pull it back, so you'd wait for it to arrive and return it the usual way.
Occasionally a parcel is marked delivered a little before it actually lands, so give it a day. If it still hasn't shown up, have a look anywhere a carrier might tuck a package and check whether someone accepted it for you. Still nothing? Send your order number to support@tatejacob.com and we'll open it up with the carrier on your behalf.
Please double-check your address before placing the order — getting it right at checkout is down to you. Caught a mistake early? Message us straight away and, if the order hasn't shipped, we'll fix it. If something does go out to a wrong or incomplete address and finds its way back to us, we'll get in touch to confirm the correct one, though a second postage charge may apply to resend it.
02 — Returns & exchanges
You have 30 days from the day your order arrives to ask for a return. We just need the piece back as it came — unworn, unused, tags still on, in its original packaging — along with your order confirmation as proof of purchase. The full terms live on our Refund Policy page.
Start by emailing support@tatejacob.com with your order number and what's prompting the return. Hold off on posting anything until we've sent you the return address and a few simple instructions — items sent back without them can go astray. Once you're set, pack the piece up with its tags and packaging, send it tracked, and hang on to the tracking number until everything's settled.
Return postage is the customer's responsibility and we don't send prepaid labels. It's worth choosing a tracked and insured service, since a parcel that goes missing on its way back to us isn't something we can cover. The one exception: if what arrived was faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, the return's on us.
Of course. Whether you want a different size, another color, or a completely different piece, just mention it in your first email to support@tatejacob.com and we'll set it up. We're happy to exchange faulty and non-faulty items alike — return postage on an exchange is still down to you.
When your return lands with us and passes a quick check, we put the refund back on your original payment method within 5-10 business days. Your original shipping cost isn't refundable unless the return was our mistake, and your bank or card issuer may need a little extra time to show it. If it's been 10 business days since we confirmed the refund and there's still no sign of it, let us know.
We're sorry if something's not right. Drop us a line at support@tatejacob.com soon after it arrives with your order number and a few clear photos of the problem. As soon as we've taken a look, we'll make it right — a replacement or a full refund — at no cost to you.
03 — Sizing & fit
Tate Jacob pieces are cut true to standard sizing with a considered, modern fit, so your usual size is the right place to start. If you'd like a steer before ordering, email support@tatejacob.com and we'll happily help.
The easiest way is to email support@tatejacob.com with your usual size in a brand you wear often, and we'll point you to the right fit.
A little care keeps everything looking its best. As a general guide: store sunglasses in their case and wipe the lenses with the cloth provided; keep footwear and apparel away from high heat, wash sparingly, and let them air dry to hold their shape and finish. If you're ever unsure how to look after a particular piece, email support@tatejacob.com and we'll help.
Our footwear runs true to standard US sizing. If you tend to fall between sizes, we'd nudge you to size up for the more comfortable fit — and if you're unsure on a particular style, just ask us.
As a rule, size up for a relaxed fit and down for something closer to the body. If you're caught between two and not sure which way to go, email support@tatejacob.com and we'll help you decide.
04 — Products & care
You'll find the materials listed in most product descriptions. We lean toward considered fabrics and finishes, chosen to hold up well beyond a single season.
They do. Every Tate Jacob pair carries full UV400 protection — blocking 99–100% of UVA and UVB rays — along with our full-spectrum lens tech and scratch-resistant lenses.

Footwear, apparel, and accessories arrive in protective packaging. Every pair of sunglasses comes with a protective case and a cleaning cloth.
05 — About Tate Jacob
Tate Jacob is a considered footwear, apparel, and accessories house that grew out of a single good pair of shoes. The full story is on our Our Story page.
Our pieces are designed to our standards and made with trusted manufacturing partners abroad — the same way most good things at this price are made. We're open about it, and you can read more on our Our Story page.
For now, Tate Jacob is online only. A physical space is something we'll look at as the brand grows.
